Who am I?

This blog started out as a place for me to store some of my lesson ideas and plans. I started my teacher education in 2009 and for a good while I earned a living by just teaching a day here, a day there (and obviously studying on the side). The name of the blog reflects of what my teaching dreams were a couple of years back: being the wonderful miss Frizzle, dedicated and inspiring, making a difference and inspiring learning in the classroom.

I got my master’s degree this spring and also a longer 6-month position at a primary school teaching mathematics. Next semester I will continue in the same school but with a bunch of first graders.

Although I do post some photos and ideas and my own crafty endeavours now and then, I think this blog is more of a young teacher’s diary. From substituting and thinking that it’s all about finding the best artsy idea for my art class, best song for my music class or the best math’s game for my math class, the focus is no longer in the individual ideas.

I’ve decided to keep the blog as it is, although it’s probably not anymore what I intended it to be like when I first started. But that’s life.

Thank you so much for the posts you put on this website. They are a priceless resource, well thought out, and so helpful to us other aspiring teachers going through both undergrad and graduate studies. I can tell you have a passion for education and your students will be very lucky to have someone like you. Keep up the great work!
